JOHNSON & LIU are Scott Johnson and Lisa Liu. They are an acoustic guitar duo playing gypsy jazz, blues and classic jazz. They met in music school and love showing each other their riffs.

CASSONDRA ALVORD  Hailing from the exotic lands of Buffalo NY, Cassondra has been making it happen here in Brooklyn for the past three years. She has been singing her entire life, and only picked up the guitar about a year ago. She plays all throughout the city, and busks in subway stations for that extra beer money. Music influences include Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and whatever sad folky shit she could get her hands (ears?) on.

MOURNING BLUE  A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Eric Mills is a composer, guitarist, and educator within a diverse range of fields. Trained in jazz composition and music production, Eric demonstrates through his work a broad taste in styles as well as drive for authenticity. He has recently performed at such venues as Manhattan’s The Bitter End and The Dram, as well as Brooklyn’s Littlefield. Eric is also a part of the blues and jazz duo “Mourning Blue” with the talented singer Jordan Chin.

Jordan Chin is originally from Portland, Oregon and is currently living/working/loving in Brooklyn. She studied drama at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and now spends most of her time tending bar and meeting new friends at The West. Jordan has been singing since childhood. She was classically trained in high school, and performed with the rock band Noir City at some of Portland’s best venues for many years. She is now one half of the blues/jazz duo Mourning Blue.

RYO TANAKA  started to play drums when he was five years old and started his professional career when he was fifteen. His style is based on Rock/Pop but he experienced many styles of music in his early years. In 2003, he was selected for a starting house band member of Rock music bar 08:30, eight thirty, in Tokyo. At the same time, he joined the major pop band Spica. They released five CDs and toured all over Japan many times. In 2010, He quitted the band and enrolled Berklee College of Music to develop his musical skill. He took lessons from Mike Mangini, Dave Dicenso, Rod Mogenstein, Terry lynn Carrington etc for drums, and Joe Carrier, Bill Elliott, Tsunenori “Lee” Abe etc for composing and arranging. He graduated as a Summa Cum Laude of a Bachelor of Music in the year of 2013, majoring in Professional Music and minoring in Liberal Arts Global Studies. Also he was selected for Professional Music Achievement Award. Now he works on music in New York.

THE NEW QUARTET  is led by trumpeter Luther Wong and pianist Casey Lakritz. While at the New School they began composing and performing together. Inspired by dollar slices and late night coffee, they will also perform compositions by Duke Ellington and Cole Porter. They are joined by drummer Harrison Keithline and bassist Jeff Biegel.
